Beckham has 'absolutely no plans' to leave LA Galaxy and move to Australia

David Beckham - Los Angeles Galaxy
David Beckham's camp have denied reports that the midfielder is set to leave LA Galaxy and move to Australia after Football Federation Australia (FFA) claimed the 37-year-old was interested in a temporary switch to the A-League.

A spokesman for the FFA hinted that the former Manchester United man was set to follow the likes of Alessandro Del Piero and Emile Heskey by moving to Australian in a statement saying: "The approach from David Beckham's people is another sign of how much the Hyundai A-League has grown in stature on a global basis.

"Beckham is a superstar on the world stage and he would be another massive signing for the Hyundai A-League after the arrivals of Alessandro Del Piero, Emile Heskey and Shinji Ono. But this approach remains at a very preliminary stage."

However, a spokeman for Beckham has denied the claim, saying the player is hap py in Los Angeles and is not planning on moving.

"David is completely focused on the MLS play offs and winning another Championship with the Galaxy," a spokesman told Sky Sports.

"Always enormous interest from clubs across world in signing David.. absolutely no plans to play in Australia."
